It saves months of spinning wheels, but one has to combine the book with library documentation and the source for the OpenSSL command-line tools. For experienced C/C++ developers, this is an easy-to-read book with a lot of code examples. It is an educational instrument for the vast majority of programmers developing secure applications who use OpenSSL directly or indirectly.
