This Carter Fuel Pump Pressure Switch comes with a 1/8" NPT thread and has a normally open switch that closes at 7 psi. It has three terminals, with the P terminal for the pump, the I terminal for the ignition, and the S terminal for the starter. It is low amperage, less than 3amp. Customers have used this switch to add an electric fuel pump to their Mercruiser engine and have found it easy to replace and great to work with. However, some customers have had issues with loose contacts, and one customer experienced a failure after 17 months.
