The iRig Keys I/O 49 is a midi controller keyboard that requires a computer or an iPhone/iPad to play as it has no built-in sounds. The unit comes with free sample software and is compact and recognised instantly by Macs. However, it does not function well with GarageBand for iOS and has several bugs and maddening software issues that cause countless hours of frustration to customers. Also, the customer service is clueless, and the manual that comes with the product seems not to exist. The hardware is well designed, but the keys don't feel nice, and knobs and sliders feel cheap. The item is way overpriced and not plug-n-play. The pads, however, are the only part of the unit that is good.
