- Attack on Titan is a manga series written/drawn by Hajime Isayama. The series started to be published in Kodansha's monthly manga magazine called Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on September 9, 2009, and 15 manga books (tankobon) have been published so far.Eren Yeager, who lives in the Shiganshina region, lives here with his family. Due to the Titans that emerged about 100 years ago, people live in high walls called Maria Wall, Rose Wall and Sinai Wall from outside to inside and in the cities built within these walls. The lives of people who have not been attacked by Titans for 100 years will one day change completely with the emergence of the 60-meter Magnificent Titan (Colossus Titan). The region where Eren lives, whose wall was breached by the Magnificent Titan, was invaded by other giants. Eren, whose mother was defeated by a titan in front of his eyes during this invasion and managed to be evacuated, swears to kill all the Titans alongside his best friend Armin Arlert and his half-sister Mikasa Ackerman, and the three of them join the military for this goal. The cities in the series are similar to the city of Nördlingen in Germany.The series, first drawn as a 65-page one-shot by Hajime Isayama, was serialized in 2009.
