svar: They do have protection on the outside of the thigh, mostly molded plastic. I returned them right after I bought them because they weren't what I was expecting. -

svar: Hi friend, you can hand wash this pant with neutral detergent. -

svar: I spar with sabers and these move great with me. No issues at all. -

svar: RIDBIKER armor pant provides more padding on hip and waist to protect you better. -

svar: The black pieces are smooth so I think so maybe with spray paint. But these are uncomfortable to ride in. -

svar: No, rather tight and the waistband cuts into the skin unless you tuck a t-shirt into them which is restrictive too. NOT A FAN! -

svar: Yes, just purchased for MTB and it does have a pad in the crotch. Not a big one but enough. They are actually very well made. Hope that help. -

Can I use these for a road bicycle?
svar: One, these are not shorts. They go over top of shorts. I use them for dirt fire roads. They probably are not good for asphalt. Because if one falls that the shields everywhere will probably make the rider slide? -

Will this be able to protect from roller skating falls? Especially the tailbone area?
svar: I use them for mountain bike riding. I put them over my biking clothing. There's a hard pad on the side of the thighs and a hard pad located by the lower back. There is other soft protection on the glute area. Maybe ask people at the skating rink? Any protection helps.
